Misty Morning.
This is the astonishing sight I can enjoy from my window when I get up before birds (at 6.00 am actually).

I seldom see beauties like that, I usually get up after noon, unless I need to work. But I’ve seen a sunset where teh sky was literally a rainbow on the horizon. I think the moon was silver thin and near teh horizon as well at the time, but harder to see.
What’s that fire on the left there? Under those poles pointing in a triangle shape?

Quite serene, and I’m happy to learn just a little more about your daily views on the world. I really like the atmospheric layering because it illustrates the truly immense scale of the view.
In stark contrast, it really reminds me of scenes from one of my favorite films: Blade Runner. The movie takes place during a time of heavy industrial development, so there is a constant haze in the air, and the fire to the left that Tek Lok noted is very characteristic of that film’s setting.
It’s hard to believe that you can experience this scene in person, Aurora – no wonder you’re so inspired.

It’s not fire, it’s just steam from ice freezer: the building with those poles is an olympic skating center; the tongue of steam was wonderfully underlit by raising sun.
