What I find so intriguing about this photo is the predominance of the color brown. Your hand –at least to me– doesn’t look so much like it’s latex coated, but more like it’s coated in a wet layer of melted chocolate. It’s a fascinatig image.
Several years ago I saw a gallery in a New York museum that featured photos of a bald model who’d had liquid chocolate poured over her head and then allowed to harden. The photos were INCREDIBLE! It looked like she was wearing a severely tight, unbelievably shiney brown latex hood that had been molded –or sprayed– on to her entire head. Those images continue to haunt me, even twenty years after I saw them.
But you know what? I suspect that YOUR images will haunt me even longer, at least for the rest of my misbegotten life.
